Bhajan: Baje Re Muraliya.
This is one of my favorite bhajans, and it has been made a classic by the great Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and Smt. Lata Mangeshkar.
In this bhajan or devotional song, the poet, Pandit Narendra Sharma, praises Krishna and his melodious flute. The beauty of this song is that the melody and instrumentation truly capture the meaning of the lyrics. This song belongs to a more classical devotional genre, based on the Hindustani Raag Patdeep.
