Hi it’s Ken from 4WheelOnline. Today we’re taking a look at one of the most important parts we put on our 2016 JK Unlimited Build. The Winch!
We went with Smittybilt’s Gen2 XRC winch with a 9,500 pound line pull rating.
This particular winch includes 98.5 feet of ⅜ inch synthetic rope, a solenoid box, an aluminum fairlead, a wired magnetic remote control, hardware bag and of course your installation instructions so you can get this thing installed..
We chose this winch for our build because it carries Smittybilt’s industry leading performance and it’s feature packed.
The new 6.6 horsepower amphibious motor offers the highest torque in the industry and is connected to a 3-stage planetary gear system for increased pulling and line speed.
This winch is easily operated using the heavy-duty wired magnetic controller that can be unplugged for convenient wireless use.
Smittybilt beefed up this winch with a forged steel tow hook, and a larger clutch lever for easy use. The solenoid box can even be mounted in 3 different locations for maximum versatility during an instal.
Smittybilt finishes it with a UV resistant textured matte black for durability and a tough appearance.
