On a grey Saturday evening, we firstly we see B1 61306 ‘Mayflower’ pass Norton Fitzwarren, nearing the end of its turn on Locomotive Services Group/ Saphos Trains ‘English Riviera Express’ railtour which had been to Paignton today.
A short drive up to Silk Mills Park and Ride allowed a better view of the locomotive swap with LSL 57311 relieving B1 61306 ‘Mayflower’ which steams back to the West Somerset Railway, while the railtour headed by the 57 continues towards Taunton with class 47 47810 ‘Crewe Diesel Depot’ on the rear.
The final shots show the consist pausing at Taunton before continuing with the 1Z32 back to Poole via Westbury. | 17.08.2024
