E-hailing taxi drivers and minibus taxi operators have reached a temporary agreement following the torching of two e-hailing vehicles at Maponya Mall last week. E-hailing drivers may not pick-up or drop-off passengers inside the Mall, while talks continue to find a long-term solution. Stakeholders, including the Soweto United E-Hailing Association, the Soweto Taxi Association and the Soweto Parliament, have been led by Johannesburg MMC for Safety and Transport Kenny Kunene, in a meeting intended to discuss the way forward.
