Langa was appointed as head of portfolio management of Alexander Forbes Investments in September 2017. He is a custodian of its philosophy and process. He oversees the management of all the portfolios, including traditional (cash, bonds, property and equities) and alternative (hedge funds and private markets) asset classes. He has over 15 years’ investment experience across single and multi-management investment. Before joining the Alexforbes team (previously Investment Solutions) in 2011, he spent four years at RMB Asset Management as an assistant to portfolio managers in fixed income and forex dealing. He was responsible for monitoring, rebalancing and executing portfolio management strategies, assisting in the dealing room and advising on portfolio valuations and compliance breaches.
Rehana Khan is a portfolio manager in the 4Factor team at Ninety One. She co-manages the General Equity, SA Balanced and Worldwide Flexible strategies. Prior to joining the firm Khan spent 11 years working for Prudential Investment Managers SA (Pimsa) and was a director on Pimsa's Institutional Board, head of equity research, portfolio manager in its Select team and an analyst covering mining, retail and general financials sectors. Before this she worked for Deloitte, firstly doing her accounting articles and secondly as a manager of the Special Services Group. Khan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. She is also a Chartered Accountant.
