To streamline and improve land use regulations and codes for development, the City of Rochester is preparing a major overhaul of existing zoning, subdivision, and development ordinances into what is known as a Unified Development Code.
A Unified Development Code (UDC) is a guiding document that consolidates all development-related regulations into a single resource rather than in various separate ordinances. The UDC will be the primary tool used to regulate land development in Rochester.
This video provides viewers with an overview of the project and an explanation of how the newly designed Unified Development Code is anticipated to impact Rochester.
