Forces' News has learned that some of the Irish Guards who will be on parade for the Royal Wedding will have had as little as five days to switch from duty in Helmand to their role in front of a worldwide audience of billions. The Irish Guards have spent the last six months in Helmand, training the Afghan National Army in their role as Brigade Advisory Group. Now they must push back front line duties from their minds to concentrate on becoming first class ceremonial soldiers for the Royal Wedding.
