A look at cheap lunch options in Medellin. You do not have to pay $20,000 or more for a decent lunch in Medellin. Even a strata 5 area like Laureles has a lot of places which have "meals of the day" lunch menus.. The prices range from $7,500 to $11,000. Do not confuse cheap with bad. They are all not great meals but if you search around and try a few you will find many restaurants with a decent meal. These are usually the smaller mom and pop locations around town. However, I have seen some of the larger restaurants also offer these "daily lunch menus". The portions are usually a little smaller that a regular dinner meal but it is usually sufficient to full a normal person. I do not eat a ton at each setting therefore it fits me very well.
