A piece of Mayo Clinic rolls into Bismarck. Mayo Clinic is celebrating 150 years by touring the United States and Canada with this interactive mobile exhibit.
The truck is filled with education, history and stories of patients who've received help at Mayo Clinic. The truck will travel 35-thousand miles during the 7 month trip across United States and Canada-making 45 stops.
(Alexander G. von Bormann / Mayo Clinic) "We wanted to bring this large truck and display to share with the people of Bismarck, North Dakota and colleges of St. Alexius the message of healing and serving humanity that we have celebrated and shared since our founding fathers, the Mayo brothers have put it into action, those words into action through the Mayo Clinic."
(Julie Skaret / St. Alexius Medical Center): "Working with Mayo clinic we are able to keep our patients here in Bismarck. They don't have to leave their families. They don't have to leave their children and their parents. They can stay right here in Bismarck. We can treat them."
Tomorrow the Mayo Exhibit will be on display in Grand Forks at Altru Hospital.
