15-year-old Mia is facing an overwhelming transformation which calls her entire existence into question. Her body is changing radically, and despite desperate attempts to halt the process, she is soon forced to accept that nature is far more powerful than her. This is Lisa Brühlmann’s first feature, and the latest European film to redefine the concept of genre cinema with great elegance. The extraordinary performance by the young actress Luna Wedler, earned her a nomination for Shooting Stars 2018, the award for best young European actor of the year.
