New Jersey is halting the use of Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine at sites across the state. The decision comes after the CDC and FDA made the recommendation to “pause” the vaccine “out of an abundance of caution” while they investigate six cases of women who developed rare, but severe, blood clots after receiving the vaccine.
Tuesday, officials announced 3,466 new, positive cases and 49 deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 842,408 cases in the state and 24,945 confirmed and probable deaths.
