On Thursday 4 June 2020, we held a virtual 'in conversation' event with Mansfield Alumni Donald Macdonald (English, 1984) and Chris Jenkins (PPE, 1977).
Donald was President of the Oxford University Boat Club in 1987 - the year of the now infamous Boat Race mutiny, which was the subject of the 1996 film 'True Blue': [ Ссылка ].
Chris Jenkins is CEO of Commonwealth Games Wales. While at Mansfield, he coxed the 1st eight for 3 years and was captain of boats for a couple of years. After college, he coxed London Welsh, Leander and represented Wales including competing at the Commonwealth Games in 1986. Chris has been chair of Welsh Rowing and a director of British Rowing.
