After falling to GCU 3-1 on the first day of the 2017 NA LCS Summer Promotion tournament, NV faced off against the up-and-coming Challenger Series team once again. Going all five games after winning the first two sets and losing the subsequent two, only one game remained to determine who would be the final team to enter the NA LCS Summer Split. In the end, NV managed to pull through and join Team Liquid in securing their slots in the upcoming split.
