The hearing into the allegations raised against the lord mayor Erias Lukwago by some councillors has kicked off amidst tight security. Lawyers representing Erias lukwago in the tribunal walked out of court protesting the absence of their client in court. The lawyers also protested the terms of the proceedings including not cross examining witnesses by either parties.
The tribunal chaired by Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, a High Court Judge adjourned for 10 minutes and the proceeding continued after police dragged Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago to the venue.
