The cereal millers association have denied allegations of an artificial shortage of maize and flour in the country, saying the current crisis is nothing new and has always been there whenever there is drought.
The millers say this year's shortage has been more severe because the drought was all over the Eastern Africa region. They have denied having made a killing dealing with the government in the subsidy program that has been rolled out in the country.
