New York City Council Member Costa Constantinides, NY State Senator Michael Gianaris, Assembly Member Aravella Simotas, and Queens Borough Melinda Katz celebrated Greek Independence Day. The event took place on March 13, 2015 at the Stathakion Cultural Center in Astoria, NY. Together with comments from dignitaries and dancing and other presentations, the Elected Officials praised the contributions of Greek Americans to New York City and the meaning of Greek Independence.
