This is more like a "Hidden Alternate Darth Malak Boss Fight". The actual end of the game, which takes place after this scene, will play out as normal (light or dark).

So here's how to do it:

For xbox: Have more than one controller plugged in. Before you open the door to the final battle against Darth Malak on the Star Forge, pull both triggers and press the Y button on all controllers at the same time.

For PC: You have to use cheats, so I'll explain how to enable them. In your KotOR games folder there is a configuration file called "swkotor.ini". You will need to edit in a text editor to activate the cheat console.
In that file under the "[Game Options]" line add a line with "EnableCheats=1" (without quotes), save the changed file (I hope you backupped it prior to editing!). Run KotOR, then open the in-console by hitting the key under ESC (accent key). Before you open the door to the final battle against Darth Malak on the Star Forge enable cheats, and type: dancedancemalak
