Walking in BABAKAN CIAMIS, Bandung Indonesia | Permukiman Padat di Kawasan Strategis Kota Bandung (Part 1) #WILLWALK ~ This walk is the continuation of the previous walk of Jalan Wastukencana - Jalan Aceh. Here we started from the front of Gedung Pakuan (the West Java Governor's mansion). Not far from this huge mansion, we turned right on an alley which brought us to a Bandung typical housing called Babakan Ciamis. What's interesting here is how the residents have their houses built on and face a narrow stream. Making the most of it, some have their bathrooms right in front of their houses on the stream. Because of the proximity among the houses, the residents seem to be very well connected to each other, of course. And most of all, this is what I really love about Bandung, is their smiles and friendliness towards 'strangers' like us. This is episode 1, so there will be part 2! 😄

WILLWALK | A PASSION FOR WALKING AND EXPLORING
My name's Ismail Ali Harahap. Based in BANDUNG, INDONESIA, I and my wife created this channel to share with the world the documentary of our passion for walking. Not so picky about the places to explore, we visit not only city main streets, business districts, markets, shopping malls, parks, and residential areas, but also unseen streets, hidden alleyways, humble villages, and rundown urban areas. Our mission is to record and show -- mainly through walking -- the reality of places and people we encounter, be it organized or chaotic, peaceful or hectic, modern or rustic. We really appreciate it if you subscribe our channel, leave comments, click the 'like' button, or share our videos.

Why Walking?
A study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that those who adhered to a walking program showed significant improvements in blood pressure, slowing of resting heart rate, reduction of body fat and body weight, reduced cholesterol, improved depression scores with better quality of life and increased measures of endurance.
While the physical benefits are notable, the mental boost that can be gleaned from adding a walk to your daily routine may be more immediate. One Stanford University study found that walking increased creative output by an average of 60 percent. Researchers labelled this type of creativity “divergent thinking,” which they define as a thought process used to generate creative ideas by exploring many possible solutions. According to the study, “walking opens up the free flow of ideas, and it is a simple and robust solution to the goals of increasing creativity and increasing physical activity.” (Source: [ Ссылка ])
