In 2011, Dr. Karen Derris, professor of religion and the Virginia C. Hunsaker Distinguished Teaching Chair at the University of Redlands, took a group of students to India to spend several weeks with the 17th Karmapa. She co-edited "The Heart is Noble: Changing the World from the Inside Out" by the Karmapa. She talks about what it means to be a global citizen and travel across countries.
