Lichting 2013 supported by G-Star RAW is an initiative of Amsterdam Fashion Week, HTNK fashion recruitment & consultancy and The New Institute in cooperation with G-Star RAW. Lighting has been created in 2007 with the aim to fill the gap between young talent and the fashion industry. Nowadays it has become the prize for young fashion talent. The four organizing parties provide each an unique contribution with which the winning talent is insured to start a promising career.

Cooperating parties
Lichting is an initiative of four professionals within the fashion industry:
• Amsterdam Fashion Week offers ambitious talent a platform to present themselves to national and international fashion professionals.
• G-Star RAW provides a financial contribution and invites the winner to contribute to their international catwalk presentation.
• HTNK prepares the talents for their presentation to the fashion industry through a portfolio, presentation & PR clinic. They invite their network of industry professionals and cooperate with the participating schools.
• The New Institute is committed to give Lichting international awareness, by inviting an international panel. The New Institute also developed a new online platform and archive of www.lichting.nl
