A very beautiful Red Fox Vulpes vulpes vixen was filmed visiting a garden in January, at a time of year when her thick winter coat is at its finest and the breeding season is at its height. She trusts the photographer so implicitly that she will allow herself to be filmed from a much closer range than would normally be possible for any wild mammal, giving a wonderfully intimate insight into her behaviour. This is despite being illuminated by the full beam of a torch and filmed from a matter of feet away. The film will probably make its viewers feel quite relaxed too, particularly if they have had a stressful day at work!
