Speaking at Advances in Drug Discovery and Development 2023, Dr. Chun Wu, Associate Professor at Rowan University, presented his talk on his studies into improvements for chimeric T-cell receptor treatments for solid tumors.
In his talk, Chun discussed utilizing molecular dynamics simulation to explore a novel anti-HER2-CAR T-cell receptor. The study revealed a mechanism termed the Binding Induced Domain Flexibility Switch (BIDFS), facilitating signal transduction. This mechanism could enhance selectivity and sensitivity in multi-specific CAR designs, currently under testing with CRISPR-CAS9 gene insertion.
