A man in MP's Bhopal has turned his three-wheeler into an ambulance-like vehicle. Javed Khan, an auto driver, is providing ambulance service to Covid patients free of cost. Khan's auto is equipped with an oxygen cylinder, a PPE kit, sanitiser & an oximeter. This comes as many face shortage of oxygen, bed & ambulance amid the second Covid wave. “I saw people in distress on news & social media due to unavailability of ambulances. While some carried their relatives on shoulders, others pulled them on carts. Sold my wife's chain & bought an oxygen cylinder to turn my auto into an ambulance,” Khan said. The auto driver said he has helped many in Bhopal with his ambulance service in the last 15-20 days. People seeking help in & around the city can reach out to Khan, who is available 24*7.
