There remains a high activity in the market, with the cost of borrowing still at a lower rate and even with the new mortgage stress test taking into effect just early last month.

June 2021 has easily broken the sales record despite being down from last month’s real estate market statistics.

For the inventory picture of the Calgary real estate market, the supply side increased notably, with the city of Calgary seeing 4,135 new listings, the second-highest level recorded for June, and inventories trending upwards to 6,918 units. The recent improvements in supply provide more options for purchasers, thus supporting the strong sales we continued to see in June.

While the months of supply in the Calgary real estate market are still somewhat at a relatively tight figure, the market sees an improvement from this time last year.
