More than 200 people joined our International Women’s Day online event on Tuesday 8 March 2022.
During the event, we officially launched our Equitable Briefing Strategy. We have committed to actions to more equitable briefing practices particularly to women and non-binary people and to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds of all genders.
Justice Rita Incerti gave the keynote address and our Chief Counsel at VLA Chambers Julia Munster facilitated a panel discussion with Sheeana Dhanji, a Civil Justice Public Defender in VLA Chambers, Daye Gang a Barrister and Ph. D student and Veronica Sayers our Acting Gippsland Regional Manager.
