ABBA was unique amongst supergroups in that it was composed of two happy couples: Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson, and Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog. Fans were shocked when the divorces tore through the group: Björn and Agnetha separated in 1979 and were legally divorced in 1980 while Benny and Frida followed in their footsteps the very next year.

Each of the ABBA members eventually remarried, though not all of the marriages lasted long term.
