Focal Clear MG, this one surprised me. In general, I’m a fan of Focal’s stuff. I absolutely loved the Utopia when I had the opportunity to review it, and the Elex has become one of my go-to headphones and recommendations at its price point. I also had the chance to review the OG Clear Pro, while ultimately not for me, I did think it was a pretty impressive headphone. The new MG doesn’t quite follow the OG Clears the way I thought it would, and really, I’m not sure I’d recommend it when the rest of the Focal stuff out there on the used market can be had at some pretty phenomenal prices at this point. In a way, this review ended up being much more of a pro-Elex video than anything else.
