I always was afraid of jackup up cars. I always did it, one corner at a time with a lot of respect for the weight of the car. Today, a first for me, I am jacking up the entire car, not only Dominic's heavy S500 Mercedes but also my Chrysler 200. With a little care it's safe and solid.
