20-course Michelin Star tasting menu in Bangkok, Thailand by Chef Pam the first ever and youngest female chef to receive both Michelin Star and “Opening of the Year” award 👏✨
We started our experience on the 1st floor with welcome beverage. This used to be the Chinese medicine dispensary storefront and is now POTONG SINO Bar 🥂
Then, we took the lift (yes, there’s an elevator to this 5-story restaurant 🙈) to the 5th floor where we were greeted with a welcome glass of wine and charcuterie.
Next up was the 3rd floor where the magic takes place (aka Chef Pam’s kitchen) 👩🏻🍳✨ We were lucky to have been seated on the 3rd floor in what used to be the shrine room + study.
The 2nd floor is the main dining room (previously the main medicine preparation area) and the 4th floor is the OPIUM Bar (formerly the master bedroom and space to “loosen up” back when opium was legal)!
My favourite course? Everything 🥹🤤
Extra special experiences? As if the whole 5 floors and elevator wasn’t enough 🙈
(1) POTONG staff ask you to download @artiviveapp and when you scan their photographs, the still image turns into a video on your phone 🤯
(2) Choose your “weapon” (aka chopsticks) for the main course, with a story behind each pair 🥢
(3) Choose which tea you’d like paired with your dessert ☕️
(4) Randomly open a drawer for a fortune cookie 🥠
(5) A souvenir to take home, ensuring your experience lingers in your heart and mind long after the final bite 💗
📍POTONG: 422 Vanich Rd. Samphanthawong, Bangkok, 10100
