How to clean it up and take care of it before it gets to the point you need a vet to treat the infection! You are your pets best advocate! Please muzzle your dog if needed, while you clean the area and apply the bandage. Never leave the muzzle on for long periods of time, this can be very stressful if left on. Maybe a visit to your local veterinary office depending on how bad the sore area has gotten and how long it has been on your pet.
