A quick test with the stud behind a dry wall to test the accuracy of the Franklin M210 stud finder. As it turns out, there is a special way to use it in order to get the most accuracy. Just marking it where the LEDs turn on will get your an accuracy of about 1/4". But if you slide it over and mark it when it turns on towards the right edge and mark it when it turns off in the left edge, you can get to about 1/16" accuracy. Or you can do it other ways such as just feel the middle of when the lights switch to the other position.
