Mushroom growing and farming required the atmosphere to be at a correct level at all times. This means getting the correct humidity, co2 levels, temperature, and lighting to suit the growth of mushrooms. To achieve this I use a pre-conditioning room. This room is used to adjust the temperature and humidity levels prior to the air getting pumped through into the fruiting rooms.
Larger farms over seas use and Air Handling Unit, but I was unable to find one small enough for out farm, so I made my own pre-conditioning chamber. The chamber is made from an externam fridge/chiller unit, that had a commercial heap pump or air conditioning unit inside. It also features a humidifier, and a humidity probe to pre-humidify the atmosphere to around 70%. This ensures the air is warm and partially humid, and decreases the cooling effect that happens when the air enters the fruiting chambers and cools further.
