This research project was funded by the Future Skills Centre and carried out by the Work Wellness Institute. Through qualitative interviews, we set out to better understand the experiences of Canadians living with disabilities who are involved in gig work. This video discusses the benefits of being a gig worker that our participants spoke of, which primarily revolved around having flexibility and autonomy, diversifying their skills, and meeting new people. To hear more about the downsides of gig work, visit our channel and check out the video ‘The Drawbacks of Gig Work in Canada for People with Disabilities’.
