It can sometimes be hard to tell between asthma and hairballs, so here’s a clip of my allergy kitty doing both. The hairball/vomit clip cuts off short because I had to save my textbook, but you can see the characteristic choking heave with abdominal compression. I compare this to the dry-sounding huff of asthma with the deflating balloon-like appearance of his body.
Yuki was put to sleep in June due to the worsening of several chronic illnesses and the development of bladder cancer. He was a trooper despite all of his health issues. Hopefully this video can help other kitties get treatment so they can live the healthy life he never got to have. Rest in peace, buddy.
