We head for a weekend trip to Fitzroy Reef- what a magical place!
Fitzroy is part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, 32 nautical miles from Seventeen Seventy, and is mostly untouched.
Its teeming with life and makes for a good spearing, diving, fishing and snorkeling trip. The boys made a joke about nicknaming the boat 'Trout Slayer' as they found numerous boomies loaded with them. If you are after trout, red throat, tusk fish, spanish mackerel, or golden trevally, Fitzroy is a must!
