This summer I brought my son (eight years old) on his first mountain hiking expedition and in this video I have tried to capture the full experience. It started in Denmark where we packed the car and drove 1.400 km before arriving at the Jura mountains in France.
Here we hiked to the top of Crêt de la Neige and wild camped over the night.
Le Crêt de la Neige is the highest peak in the Jura Mountains and the department of Ain in France. Its elevation is 1720 m above sea level. Its prominence is 1260 m. It is located in the commune of Thoiry.
