EPI held its 2021 Annual Lecture in November 2021, delivered by Professor Melanie Ehren, Professor of Education Governance, Vrijie Universiteit Amsterdam on the topic of 'International Comparisons of Education Recovery'.
The lecture includes findings on education recovery funding rates across several European nations, along with a summary of the recovery interventions used in these countries. The lecture also takes a detailed look at the Dutch experience of responding to the pandemic.
This was followed by a panel discussion featuring Melanie, Sir Kevan Collins (Former Education Recovery Commissioner) and Evelyn Forde (Headteacher, Copthall School), which covered what the UK can learn from international examples of education recovery.
