Including: visit a winery for a wine tasting- Niagara on the Lake is Ontario Wine Country, do a Niagara wine trolley tour, visit old Fort George, buy ice wine at a local winery, shop at a local store in the historic downtown, enjoy a lunch or dinner in a top restaurant, visit the historic town, see a play at the Shaw Festival theatre, do a Niagara on the Lake bike tour, ride a bike along the Niagara Parkway Recreational Trail and stay at an old historic Inn/Hotel.

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been.
Some people call it the “Prettiest Town in Canada”.

Niagara on the lake is known for a few things…
1)its wineries (Niagara Peninsula is the Largest wine-producing region in Canada)
2)the Shaw Festival (Canada's second largest producing theatre)
3)it’s history, Fort George was built by the British to defend against American attacks during the war of 1812.
Also, It’s close proximity to Niagara Falls doesn’t hurt either.

It’s located on the Niagara Peninsula at the point where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario, at the mouth of the Niagara River.
It’s approx. 1 hour from Toronto and 20-25 minutes from Niagara Falls. Niagara on the Lake is right across the river from the USA. Only 30 minutes from the Bridge to the USA and 50 minutes from Buffalo.

The flower-filled, tree-lined old town features many 19th-century buildings, and Queen St. is home to many small shops and top restaurants. Niagara on the lake is one of the best small towns in Canada.
