The twenty-first century has given us many new opportunities for creative expression and innovation in the making of literature. But it has also presented us with serious challenges to the central importance and value of literature and culture. Dr Spiers presents 3 scenarios that sketch three plausible, but very different, futures for literature in the UK in 2050.
