Today Rebekah will be showing you how to make Onde-Onde!
Onde-Onde is one of the Baba Nyonya delicacies which is easy to make and delicious to eat!
You'll need:
500g Glutinous Rice Flour
260g Steamed Sweet Potato
400ml Water
1tbsp Blue Pea Flower Juice
Gula Melaka
Grated Coconut
To cook:
Boiling water
Pandan leaves
Tips:
(☞゚ヮ゚)☞Don't put too much Gula Melaka in your Onde-Onde paste or it might crack and leak.
(☞゚ヮ゚)☞You don't have to roll after closing the Onde-Onde as they don't come out perfectly rounded after boiling.
(☞゚ヮ゚)☞You might find that the filling of the Onde-Onde might be pretty tasking---so take your time and have fun!
(☞゚ヮ゚)☞As there are no preservatives (and lots of grated coconut), do not keep your Onde-Onde out for too long! Pop em in!
