tristansyarns sent me a message:
"I tried something in my kitchen this morning with an esbit stove and the evernew cross stand. I think it's a good idea but wanted to get your opinion... maybe test it with your setup and see if I'm really off."
So I thought I would give his idea a try. Some months ago I did a video testing the Evernew Titanium Cross Stand with the Trangia. I'll leave a link to the video down below. In the video I tried the Cross Stand right-side-up and up-side-down. Here are the results I got.
Lab0264
Part 1 Evernew Titanium Cross Stand - Right-side-up
Water temp at start: 60°
Time to boil: 7 minute(s) 38 second(s)
Part 2 Evernew Titanium Cross Stand - Up - side-down
Water temp at start: 61°
Time to boil: 6 minute(s) 36 second(s)
So it will be interesting to see what happens when I use the simmer ring to raise the pot up a little from the Trangia.
