I was using my Scubajet to go deep and follow an eel that was busy hunting. After several breaths, he found something..! I recently watched the movie "My Octopus Teacher" and it inspired me to revisit this footage and make a longer edit of this epic battle.
Using the Scubajet allows me to stay underwater for much longer than I would otherwise be able too, but still I had to bail near the end of the battle. I wish I had gills and lungs. Without
I am in the water all the time, but I rarely am able to spot octopus.
I know from observing an eel we caught and kept for a few weeks in our fish tank that they have very poor eyesight - I wonder if the ink also provides scent camo as well as visual? Eels are basically blind with an insane sense for smell.
