When I used my first Gorilla Cart back at Tiny Urban Farm, I found it super easy to pull around on the small 0.20 acre, level urban lot. However, when I expanded my growing operation to the 2 acre large Tiny Country Farm I found that the property’s hilly terrain made it impossible to manually pull a loaded cart uphill. Navigating downhill was also difficult since there was always a danger of being overrun by a heavily loaded cart that just wanted to hurtle down the slope.
These challenges made me discover the utility of the cart’s 2-in-1 handle which allows the cart to either be pulled by hand or be towed by a riding mower or ATV. Tow mode makes easy work of hauling heavy loads uphill. Traveling downhill with a loaded cart also becomes a breeze. The brakes on the riding mower or ATV allows a loaded cart to descend hills in a controlled manner.
Once I discovered the utility of tow mode, the cart was put to use daily to transport items (soil, manure, feed, tools, debris, etc.) around the 2 acre property. The towing configuration is my favorite feature on the Gorilla Carts. It is so practical that if it wasn’t for the fact that I have to unhook the cart to charge my electric riding mower, the cart would just stay attached to the riding mower permanently.
If your growing dreams ever take you from a small urban property to a much larger property, you will most likely need to get a riding mower. When you do, I highly recommend pairing it with a Gorilla Cart that has a 2-in-1 handle capable that allows it to be towed. The combination of the two will save you a tremendous amount of time and labor!
