Country roads account for over a half of all fatal accidents on Scotland’s roads (52%). Last year alone 649 people were killed or seriously injured whilst driving on country roads,
and over two thirds of those were men. This campaign aims to show that you never know what’s round the corner when travelling on a country road, and driving at an appropriate speed gives you more time to react.
