🍃Wash and soak 1 cup toor daal for 10-15 minutes.
🍃In a pressure cooker add 1 tbsp ghee then add soaked & drained dal, sauté for a minute.
🍃Add 1 medium size onion, 2 medium size tomatoes, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt, 2 cups spinach, 2 green chili and 2 cups water.
🍃Mix well and pressure cook for 3-4 whistle.
Add 1/4 cup tamarind water (soak lemon size tamarind in boiling water, mash and remove the pulp), and mash.
🍃Prepare a tadka by adding 1 tbsp ghee, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, pinch of hing, 2-3 dry red chilies, 5-6 garlic cloves, curry leaves. Let them crackle the add to the dal. Mix well.
🍃Server with rice, ghee and enjoy!
