👰♀️ As a maid of honor, one of the most crucial duties is ensuring a flawless train and veil for photos and the walk down the aisle (here is to looking at you too wedding coordinators!)
💁♀️ Our stylists often get asked if we come along with the dress and veil on the wedding day- and as much as we would like to attend your wedding, your gown and our fluffing expertise do not come as a package deal!
So here are a few tips and tricks to ensure a flawless fluff👇
TIP 1. Start by making sure the center of the veil is aligned with the center of the train (the more prep work, the better the fluff)
TIP 2. Hold the train and veil as wide as your arm span will allow, this guarantees the optimal amount of airflow underneath the train.
TIP 3. Different gown materials will require alternative techniques. In this case, we were working with a lace shaped train and veil which have little to no structure. This type of train/veil combo takes a little more finesse which is why we positioned ourselves to the left side of the bride and fluffed from the right and pulled it back towards left to prevent the hem from turning up under itself.
For gown materials such as mikado or satin or even a gown with a lace train that’s fully lined to the end, you can simply align the center of the veil and train and fluff directly from the back (still as wide as your arm span will allow) and let the veil ride directly on top of the train.
