Cleveland weather forecast: Sept. 10, 2024.
Remember the movie Groundhog Day where Bill Murray woke up day after day to not only the same day, but to the same weather? It may feel like that for us this week and I don't think there are many complaints! We are in a stagnant, but pleasant weather pattern with high pressure in charge and little movement on the weather map. This puts us nicely under days of sunshine with warming temps into the 80s. In fact, most model guidance keeps us completely dry all the way through the middle of NEXT week. Keep that watering schedule as our drought will only worsen across the area.
Attention is all on the tropics as Francine is expected to make a curve towards Louisiana later today into tonight as a Category 1 or 2 hurricane. Landfall is expected west of New Orleans sometime Wednesday afternoon. The high pressure we have in charge of our local forecast will play a role in how far north Francine makes it--likely not bringing anything but high cloudiness into Ohio later this week.
