NSW Shadow Police Minister Paul Toole is calling for masks to be banned at protests after three neo-Nazi gatherings were held in Sydney over the weekend.
“If these people are turning up with a mask on, they want to be hidden, they don’t want to be shown who they are,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“So we need to really look at banning the wearing of masks when it comes to protests.
“We saw it happen down at the Opera House already last year, we’ve seen it again with these neo-Nazi protests … there’s no place for this.
He also called for authorities to act diligently and swiftly with their investigations.
