For 2025, the Nissan Frontier has undergone a range of updates to enhance its competitiveness in the bustling mid-size truck market.

The 2025 Frontier features a bolder front design, with black plastic bumper trim now extending to merge with the grille. The grille has been restyled with more robust elements and includes three narrow vents above the Nissan badge, echoing the design seen on the new Nissan Rogue Rock Creek. The Pro-X and Pro-4X models sport a fresh layer of black trim across the tailgate, restyled 17-inch wheels, and are available in a vibrant new color for 2025 called Afterburn Orange.


For 2025, the Nissan Frontier introduces several interior improvements based on customer feedback. A telescopic-adjustable steering column is now standard across all trims. The Pro-X, Pro-4X, and SL trims will feature a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat as standard. Additionally, SV trims and above will include a power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way lumbar support.

SV trims and above will now feature a new 12.3-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, which includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SL grades will additionally offer a wireless smartphone charger and Nissan’s “Intelligent View” 360-degree parking monitor.

Starting with towing capacity, the 2025 Frontier sees an increase of approximately 500 pounds across the lineup. The base King Cab S 4×2 model now boasts a towing capacity of 7,150 pounds, while the long bed Crew Cab PRO-4X trim has the lowest rating at 6,310 pounds. All other trims, excluding the long bed PRO-4X, are rated to tow at least 6,500 pounds. Additionally, the availability of a six-foot bed on more crew cab trims enhances the truck’s utility.

The Frontier continues to offer the seamless utility that midsize truck buyers seek, featuring a responsive 3.8-liter V6 engine with direct injection and a 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain, which delivers 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque, also includes Idle Stop/Start technology. All trims come equipped with Active Brake Limited Slip, while the PRO-4X variant boasts an electronic locking differential for improved traction on varied terrain.


the PRO-X and PRO-4X models are designed with all-terrain tires, Bilstein off-road suspension, and a more rugged look, including over-fenders and Lava Red tow hooks.

The updated 2025 Nissan Frontier is expected to arrive at dealerships later this summer. Pricing details will be released as the on-sale date approaches.
