Vehicles were banned from Mackinac island, MI in 1890! The only way to get around the island is by bike (electric bikes are also banned), or by taking a horse-drawn taxi that's available at most any time of the day.

And the only way to get to the island for those of us without boats is by ferry. With two different companies offering ferry options, what makes them different and how was the experience overall? Most importantly, how much did it all cost?
